Protect Your Noggin With Style: The Heritage Helmet by Thousand

How often have you gone for a ride on a bike, scooter, or skateboard and left without putting a helmet on your head? If you’re like me, it’s happened all too often and for reasons like, it’s too unwieldy, too uncomfortable, or too… ugly.

While I know it is profoundly unwise to make any excuse to avoid wearing a helmet when cycling, the silliest reason appears to be most common… bike helmets just don’t look cool.

Premium Quality and Magnetically Good Looks: The iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe

I finally received my iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe I ordered over a month ago. After using it for just a few days I have to say it has been totally worth the wait.

I’m constantly looking for ways to carry less. I’ve managed to slim down and discard all of the superfluous stuff I once carried in a bulky billfold and have since been a minimalist EDC wallet user. Now with virtually all of my pocketbook digitized into my iPhone, I’ve narrowed down the physical cards I carry to just three which, until now, I’ve kept inside a compact Titanium Ridge Wallet separately tucked into my front pocket. Apple’s iPhone Leather Wallet has built in a feature that can help to free up that pocket space as well.

The Biggest Feature Is Its Awesomeness: The iPhone 12 Pro Max

It’s too big!

Its display refresh rate is still only 60hz!

Its screen’s scratch resistance hasn’t improved!

These are the three loudest complaints that have continued to circulate in almost every review I’ve read or seen since the iPhone 12 Pro Max was released. I’ve had this iPhone for two weeks now and from what I observe so far is that these complaints are totally nonsensical.

If you’ve been considering the newest iPhone but have been hesitant based on any of these three negative points, then perhaps a bit more insight will help to make a more balanced decision.

The Product That Went From Amazing To Ridiculously Magical: AirPods Pro (Now with Spatial Audio)

While many amazing new features have been introduced with the latest iOS 14 update for iPhone, I think the most noteworthy thing that came along with the update is the firmware upgrade which adds to the AirPods Pro the feature of “Spatial Audio” that the new iOS 14 supports.

Turn Yesterday’s Apple Watch Into Today’s: watchOS 6

It’s that time of year again and the latest and greatest Apple gadgets are now in the wild. Among these is the newest Apple Watch, the Series 5, now with the much requested “always-on” display and a number of new apps, watch faces and features.

However, beyond the new display feature (which is a big deal) and a newly added compass, the Series 5 is virtually indistinguishable in looks, capability, and performance from last year’s model. It is a solid update but in my opinion not quite enough to justify an upgrade if you already own a Series 4.

Thankfully, the same operating system (watchOS 6) that comes in the new Series 5 is available as a free install and is compatible with Apple Watch models as early as Series 1. This software update significantly enhances the feature set of previous generations and basically makes those watches like new again.

Lose the Junk but not Your Style: The Ridge Wallet

Nowadays with ApplePay, Google Pay, and the digitization of the wallet, some might consider their smartphone to be the most important object in their pocket or bag. However, not all merchants are ready to go all digital and still require payment with physical cards or cash. Thus, the analog wallet remains the king of pocket priority.

But if you’re like me, your wallet holds more than just cards and cash. It’s become a hoarding space packed with superfluous junk. A year ago I decided to go through my wallet and scan all the receipts, business cards, and other unnecessary things and discard them. Then, I bought a compact Every Day Carry (EDC) wallet to carry only what I need: my credit cards, I.D., and Cash.

The Device That Helps You Stay Healthy, Connected, and May Even Save Your Life: The Apple Watch Series 4

It’s been a couple of weeks now and my overall enthusiasm with the newest Apple Watch continues to be hard to contain. With all its improvements, definitive direction toward wellness, FDA Clearance and nods from the American Heart Association it comes as no surprise. Continue reading

The Apple Product That Looks Better With Abuse: The iPhone Leather Case

Anyone that’s owned any leather products knows that they tend to look better with age and abuse. So, what better way to protect your shiny new iPhone than with a case that can get increasingly attractive the more it gets beaten up? Continue reading

Take Your Photography To New Heights Without Taking Your Wallet Along For The Ride: The DJI Spark

Just as Apple is the aspirational brand for Technology, DJI is the aspirational brand for Drones due to its ease of use, attention to engineering detail, and exceptional build quality.

DJI just released its latest model drone, the Mavic Air, which is the brand’s newest addition to the “consumer-pro” level of their drone line placing it a tier above the Spark in both features and price. A recent discussion with friends on which of the two makes the best entry into the drone hobby has inspired me to share some thoughts as to why the Spark remains a solid choice between the two. Caller ID For My Front Door: The Ring Video Doorbell Pro

The Ring is a Wi-Fi enabled Doorbell button with a built-in security camera and two-way speaker that connects to a smartphone or tablet. It’s solidly built, easy to install, and functions brilliantly like what many describe as, “Caller ID for the Front Door”. Continue reading
