The Biggest Feature Is Its Awesomeness: The iPhone 12 Pro Max

It’s too big!

Its display refresh rate is still only 60hz!

Its screen’s scratch resistance hasn’t improved!

These are the three loudest complaints that have continued to circulate in almost every review I’ve read or seen since the iPhone 12 Pro Max was released. I’ve had this iPhone for two weeks now and from what I observe so far is that these complaints are totally nonsensical.

If you’ve been considering the newest iPhone but have been hesitant based on any of these three negative points, then perhaps a bit more insight will help to make a more balanced decision.

Turn Yesterday’s Apple Watch Into Today’s: watchOS 6

It’s that time of year again and the latest and greatest Apple gadgets are now in the wild. Among these is the newest Apple Watch, the Series 5, now with the much requested “always-on” display and a number of new apps, watch faces and features.

However, beyond the new display feature (which is a big deal) and a newly added compass, the Series 5 is virtually indistinguishable in looks, capability, and performance from last year’s model. It is a solid update but in my opinion not quite enough to justify an upgrade if you already own a Series 4.

Thankfully, the same operating system (watchOS 6) that comes in the new Series 5 is available as a free install and is compatible with Apple Watch models as early as Series 1. Take Your Photography To New Heights Without Taking Your Wallet Along For The Ride: The DJI Spark

Just as Apple is the aspirational brand for Technology, DJI is the aspirational brand for Drones due to its ease of use, attention to engineering detail, and exceptional build quality.

DJI just released its latest model drone, the Mavic Air, which is the brand’s newest addition to the “consumer-pro” level of their drone line placing it a tier above the Spark in both features and price. A recent discussion with friends on which of the two makes the best entry into the drone hobby has inspired me to share some thoughts as to why the Spark remains a solid choice between the two. Similar But Definitely Not The Same: The iPhone 7 Plus

It’s easy to dismiss the iPhone 7 Plus as a seemingly underwhelming update because of its similar form factor to the iPhone 6 Plus. However, there are very noteworthy updates to this phone – and after 6 months of use, I can say most assuredly that this is still a fantastic upgrade in almost every way. Continue reading

A Product Worthy of the Adjective, Magical: Apple AirPods

I thought they might be a bit pricey.
I thought they might be easy to lose.
And, I thought that they might look a bit awkward when worn.

As it turns out however, Apple’s AirPods may just be one of the best products they’ve brought to market in a long time – with a classic Apple user-friendly experience and fewer drawbacks than I expected from their first entry of completely wireless stereo headphones. Continue reading
