Turn Yesterday’s Apple Watch Into Today’s: watchOS 6

It’s that time of year again and the latest and greatest Apple gadgets are now in the wild. Among these is the newest Apple Watch, the Series 5, now with the much requested “always-on” display and a number of new apps, watch faces and features.

However, beyond the new display feature (which is a big deal) and a newly added compass, the Series 5 is virtually indistinguishable in looks, capability, and performance from last year’s model. It is a solid update but in my opinion not quite enough to justify an upgrade if you already own a Series 4.

Thankfully, the same operating system (watchOS 6) that comes in the new Series 5 is available as a free install and is compatible with Apple Watch models as early as Series 1. This software update significantly enhances the feature set of previous generations and basically makes those watches like new again.

The Little Headset That Does: The New ERA By Jawbone

I’ve owned a variety of Bluetooth headsets. New innovations and features would lure me from one brand to another. But, once I tried a Jawbone, it had quickly become a favorite. It didn’t initially win me over in style, and definitely not in size (early versions were ridiculously huge). I came to appreciate Jawbone because I found their headsets simply have the best military-grade noise canceling of any reasonably priced Bluetooth earpiece.

But now, the newest Jawbone has it all – epic noise cancellation, style, and a lot of Helpy Features. And, it’s small… Really small.

Pictures are worth a thousand words. So, it’s no wonder that photo sharing applications like Instagram have become the preferred medium for sharing thoughts, ideas, and inspiration.

With the advancements in smartphone camera quality, and the versatility of having an internet connection through that device virtually everywhere, applications such as these have made sharing those photos an effortless and almost instantaneous exercise.
