It’s been years since my last post and who would have thought that something as simple as a phone grip would be exciting enough to bring me out of hibernation.
Well, I found this particular grip to be so good, I couldn’t contain my enthusiasm for it.

One late night watching Youtube, I saw this cheeky Ad titled “The Grip that Doesn’t Suck” by a company called Ohsnap. It was one of those rare Ads that was funny enough to watch through to the end – which is ultimately how its message got through to me.
See, I’ve tried a Pop Socket type phone grip before – and while it made one handed use possible for my Max-sized iPhone, I found the Pop Socket to be unwieldy… and kinda ugly. It looked like a Bar Stool mounted to the back of my phone. Even worse, when attached, the Pop Socket took away the convenience of Qi Charging and blocked the use of all my MagSafe Accessories.
So, when I saw the Ad for the “Snap Grip”, it entertainingly showcased a much more polished product that really piqued my interest on the level of its engineering.
It’s a grip that looks great, has functionality that is thoughtfully executed, and it doesn’t compromise any of the iPhone’s MagSafe or Qi Charging capabilities. Beyond its core function as a secure grip, it can work as a kickstand, has increased magnetism so you can mount your phone to almost any metal surface, and all MagSafe accessories continue to work without ever needing to remove the grip from the phone.

The Snap Grip is remarkably slim. It’s truly as “stupid-thin” as its Ohsnap Ad claims – thinner than the iPhone camera bumps. It’s profile is so low it becomes practically unnoticeable over time.

Snap Grip has a pop out magnetic closure held by flex arms that are extremely comfortable between fingers when deployed. The grip also rotates very smoothly which helps the phone freely adjust position securely in the hand.

iPhones have grown to a size that make one-handed use nearly impossible without risking a potential drop. For those unwilling to sacrifice screen real estate and better battery life for a more manageable size phone, a phone grip is the only solution that enables secure one-handed operation of a Max-sized device.
Among the numerous options available, I believe the Snap Grip Luxe stands out as the most elegantly designed, ultra-thin, multifunctional grip that provides an unparalleled sense of drop-free security for any phone.
The Snap Grip Luxe is $39 and is available at ohsnap.com.
